    The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel Project
    The Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel forms part of Ocean Park’s ongoing development and is located in front of the main entrance, with an area of about 17,000 m². The 495-room hotel will feature three separate hotel wings of up to 6-storeys, with a total gross floor area of approximately 34,000 m². The middle of the three wings forms a central courtyard with a themed lagoon pool, children’s play area and alfresco dining sections. Lai Sun Group, Ocean Park Corporation and Marriott International commenced the project in December 2014. The construction works of this new world class resort facility incorporated the following products from OPTIMIX: •  OPTIMIX BP126 Base Plaster, •  OPTIMIX BP138 Base Plaster (Waterproof), •  OPTIMIX SC216 Skimcoat (Fine), •  OPTIMIX TA328 Tile Adhesive (Flexible) and •  OPTIMIX TG410 Tile Grout.

    OPTIMIX System for Renovation Project in Macau
    Macau Hotel Guia is located at the foot of the historic Guia lighthouse, in a quiet environment, with pleasant scenery. The hotel is close to the busiest part of the city and the casino area, with only a 10-minute taxi-ride from Macau and Hong Kong Ferry Terminal. The Macau Hotel Guia commenced the maintenance and waterproofing work of the external walls in June 2017. Specifically, the visual renovation works used:   •  OPTIMIX BP126  Base Plaster and •  OPTIMIX WP568 Waterproofing Slurry (Flexible).

    Consultant visited to OPTIMIX plant
    More than 40 members from Hong Yip Service Company Limited, Hongplus Professional Consultants Limited, Trustful Engineering & Construction Company Limited and Lik Kai Engineering Co. Ltd. visited OPTIMIX's factory in Dongguan on 10th April 2017. Having organized product seminars in Hong Kong in 2016, technical discussions and product demonstrations were the focus for this factory visit and continued OPTIMIX's technical support of system solutions. Tours to OPTIMIX's plant facilities demonstrated its production capability in manufacturing various types of dry mix products. Laboratory tours illustrated various equipment that contributes to its R&D and QC systems. This visit provided a technical platform for supporting OPTIMIX's customers and exchanging technology with engineers and property managers.

    OPTIMIX Group Commended as “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production (Manufacturing)”
    The manufacturing plant of OPTIMIX Group in Guangdong was awarded “Hong Kong – Guangdong Cleaner Production (Manufacturing)” co-organized by Environment Bureau of Hong Kong and The Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province in recognition of OPTIMIX’s cleaner production technologies and practices to environmental protection. OPTIMIX possesses great concern about the production of high-performance building materials to the industry as well as the establishment of a safe and sustainable living environment to citizens. As such, OPTIMIX adopts advanced production technologies to develop and promote a wide range of durable construction materials. By adhering to the cleaner production standard by Hong Kong government and Guangdong Province, OPTIMIX incorporates relevant environment strategies such as reducing material consumption, enhancing energy efficiency and controlling waste in manufacturing. As a result, OPTIMIX demonstrates significant result to control pollution at source, develop production efficiency, and improve management in administration and production. Looking forward, OPTIMIX Group will relentlessly advance its production facilities and green building materials while pursuing cleaner production to actively fulfill social responsibility and mitigate the impact of production on environment.

    OPTIMIX offers a brand new tiling solution for the Hong Kong Science Park Phase III
    The third phase of the Hong Kong Science Park located in Pak Shek Kok, Tai Po District. The project consists of three 8 to 9 storey research and laboratory buildings, a parking lot, connection bridges and roads between buildings. The total construction area is about 105,000 m². Throughout the project, homogenous tiles and natural stone, in both interior and exterior applications, were installed utilising premium grade products from OPTIMIX, with a specially formulated primer with additives to maximize the penetration into the substrate, to enhance bond performance. Products used:   •  OPTIMIX TA328 Tile Adhesive (Flexible) and •  OPTIMIX SF80    Primer, adapted for tile installation.
