Project Update: Zero-Carbon building, Hong Kong

ZCB is the first zero carbon building in Hong Kong which was developed by CIC in collaboration with Hong Kong Government. ZCB is a signature project to show eco-design and technologies to local and international markets. The project, boasted Ronald Lu & Partners as the lead consultant and Gammon Construction Limited as the management contractor. The project, including design, application, and material selections, has been certified a Platinum rating in the Provisional Assessment of BEAM Plus (Building Environmental Assessment Method).

To achieve the strict requirement of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), the architects chose OPTIMIX's environmentally friendly specialty dry mortars including:

•  OPTIMIX BP126 Base Plaster,
•  OPTIMIX SC228 Skimcoat,
•  OPTIMIX SC273 Skimcoat (Putty for Paint),
•  OPTIMIX TA328 Tile Adhesive (Flexible) and
•  OPTIMIX TG410 Tile Grout.
