We are thrilled to learn that our first ever brand brochure, The Substance, has been honored with Red Dot Design Award: Brands & Communication Design 2022, after also being shortlisted for ADC 101st Annual Awards and The One Show Awards 2022 earlier! We would like to give our sincere thanks to our colleagues in our production plant for arranging a smooth and successful shooting day for this project and thus the stunning images captured in the book, and all the experienced interviewees who shared their valuable memories and insights with OPTIMIX. The Substance will be a precious memento to record the people and growth of OPTIMIX.

Construction Industry Volunteer Recognition Ceremony 2022 by CIC was held last week to celebrate the achievements of the construction industry in overcoming the epidemic in the past year and dedicating to giving back to the society. The total number of participants in the program last year reached 19,381, and the total service hours exceeded 130,000, breaking the all-time record in the past years. The award ceremony also commended many ingenious volunteer projects and organizations with outstanding performance in the CISVP, and expressed gratitude towards all the participants for actively serving the society and the industry in spare time, building a positive image and breaking the stereotype of the construction industry - commercialized. Optimix is ​​much honored to receive the Bronze Award in the SME category of the "Annual CISVP Corporate Award for Activeness", which recognizes the contribution and positive changes made by the Optimix volunteer team to the society last year. Our team participated in the Lo Pan Rice which is a meaningful event that shares food and sanitizing kits with the underprivileged public in the combat with COVID-19. Our CEO Mr. Calvin Chan and staff had a great time helping others and OPTIMIX pledges to continue our support to CISVP, giving back to the society and fulfilling our corporate social responsibility. In order to exert and inherit the spirit of Master Lo Pan to benefit the community, other than Lo Pan Rice 2022, Optimix will continue to participate in the “Construction Industry Coastal Cleanup Day” to jointly contribute to the natural environment. Employees can also learn about marine conservation and pollution, such as climate change, plastic pollution, etc. In this way, we can increase their awareness of conservation and understand the importance of recycling to nature. We hope that in addition to business development, we can encourage more peers to actively participate in volunteer activities, demonstrate corporate social responsibility, and do our best to give back to the society.

In 2021 Annual Conference of Ready-mixed Mortar Branch of China Building Materials Federation, OPTIMIX was awarded “Most Motivating Enterprise” recognition. Among the enterprises participating in this award, the experts from the Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch assess the candidates with the industry demonstrative judging criteria such as production scale, intelligent and clean production, commitment to R&D of new products, active practice of the concept of green development, and advocate of independent patented technologies. OPTIMIX was recognized by the judge panel and awarded the "Most Motivating Enterprise" recognition in the ready-mixed mortar industry in 2021. In the future, OPTIMIX will continuously promote green environmental protection and innovative R&D. Our sustainable smart factory under construction in Zhuhai is about to be completed and put into production. Based on the internationally recognized green building system LEED certification, it integrates the two concepts of "innovation" and "intelligent manufacturing", and is committed to the development and production of environmentally friendly and durable new building materials, contributing to the development of green buildings in Zhuhai City and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Did you know how a collaboration of eco-friendly dry mortar and BMW, the benchmark of new energy vehicle, could look like? BMW in recent years has been endeavoring in pushing sustainable development forward, shifting its focus from fuel to electric vehicles and introducing the brand new BMW i Series, expanding a deeper electrifying strategy. In June, BMW i opened the first flagship store in Asia located in Hopewell Center, Hong Kong, with the theme of electric vehicles and promotes "zero emission" pure electric technology and a new environmentally friendly retail experience to the public. The design of the flagship store also brings out the brand's highest requirements for the concept of sustainable development and environmentally friendly travels. In addition to displaying the BMW i series pure electric vehicles, the entire showroom is also designed to implement the concept of sustainable environmental protection, including staff uniforms, LED energy-saving lighting systems, sofas and furniture made of environmentally friendly materials, floor tiles and building materials, etc. have certain environmental requirements. OPTIMIX as an environmental protection forerunner in dry mortar industry, we supplied this project with all green building materials. The BMW i iconic aqua blue mosaic that embellishes the store is carried out by OPTIMIX TA313 Tile Adhesive (Semi-Flexible), providing C1TE grade performance under EN12004 standard, and conforming to the strict standard of VOC content. OPTIMIX TA313’s VOC emission in environmental impact is extremely low, it satisfies the HKEPD’s requirement D10-02 in regards of air pollution control in tile adhesives, it is friendly to the environment and protects the users’ health safety. OPTIMIX’s ISO14001 certified manufacturing plant in Dongguan ensures the products from production, logistics to application site comply with BMW’s goal of climate neutrality and zero emission.

OPTIMIX is delighted to give you an update that our popular RM780 Repair Mortar (Rapid Setting), and NS612 Non-Shrink Grout, are successfully accredited with PCCS-RM Class S certification, joining our RM725 & RM740 Repair Mortars in the PCCS-RM scheme developed by HKCI. In order to get the approval under this scheme, manufacturers of repair mortar products shall also operate a quality management system conforming to the requirements stipulated in ISO9001 standard from production to sales, which OPTIMIX proudly stands by, as our promise of quality and confidence to our customers.
